Every bit as good as the documentaries I see on Netflix. Very professional and extremely well done. The shots, angles and drone views are so sick. Ride shotgun to the adventure that is BajaXL. Into Uncertainty takes you into the landscape and culture of the rally. Filmmaker Ryan Christen expertly explores the personality willing to risk it all to complete the 10-day expedition.
When it first started I thought it was just gonna be about the Baja XL, but man, it was so much more! … Your story was moving, inspiring and down right relatable and engaging. Your film was not just about the amazing Baja XL route, but community, camaraderie, friendship and how amazing things and places take work and dedication.
Into Uncertainty pulled us in and didn’t let go — we loved it! So much fun, entertaining, and honestly moving. We both laughed and cried. Powerfully told. This is a film worth watching.
My biggest takeaway from the movie and the XL is the bonding and camaraderie.
“We each see things through our own lens and perspective based on our experiences. My lens is that of a retired Marine with combat experience. My biggest takeaway from the movie and the XL is the bonding and camaraderie. You have it every day in the Marines at least, and you lose that part of yourself after you get out. Me and several of my Marine buddies offroad together and regained that brotherhood/sisterhood for a short time, and I saw that exemplified in the movie. Ryan reconnecting when he rode in the fire truck in San Ignacio is a perfect example, and the group camping together on the beach and sharing a bonfire. That is precious to me and to us. I love that the movie captured that important aspect. The movie also showed the healing power of exploring remote spaces in some of the most beautiful locations in the world throughout Baja. Just amazing.”
The film is awesome.
